   Lois: Vow of eternal solitude?

   Ginger: I would characterise it more as a loss of faith in the notion of commitment.

   Lois: Really?

   Ginger: But not for you Mum. I just love Dave and I just know you two are going to be really happy together.

   Lois: But...?

   Ginger: But... I’m just not sure about the ‘till death do us part’ bit. I’m not being critical but... we have heard that before.

   Lois: You’re referring to your father I assume.

   Ginger: Look a chicken!

   Lois: Ah Ginger, please don’t tell me that, you don’t believe in commitment, or true love. Not at your age, you’re too young to be jaded. I know the Darren thing hurt pretty bad, but you can’t base your feelings on that one experience.
